Mike Noordzy is a NJ based musician and educator.

He plays upright and electric bass in a variety of styles.

He teaches privately, at Rutgers University, Middlesex College, Hudson Music Studios and Speak Music Conservatory.

Mike also composes music for film and runs the experimental music label NACHT records.

He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Jazz Performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.

Mike is also available for studio recording (both in person or remote). His upright and electric bass work can be heard on several rock, jazz, country, folk and experimental albums.

with guitarist Chris Welcome. Mike and Chris play standards every Sunday at Porta (911 Kingsley Ave. Asbury Park, NJ) and every Wednesday at Pascal and Sabine (601 Bangs ave, Asbury Park) from 6-9pm. They are available for hire at cocktail hours/parties/lounges etc.
